Terms of Use

Lour - لور Terms of Use

Effective date: 7 September 2026

1. Scope and acceptance

These Terms govern access to and use of the Lour - لور mobile application, website, and business tools. By creating an account, making a booking, managing a salon, or using any feature, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted them. If you act for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind it. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights under the laws in force in the Syrian Arab Republic, including applicable consumer-protection and electronic-transactions rules.

2. Platform role

Lour - لور is a technology marketplace connecting customers with salons and professionals and providing discovery, booking, and operational tools. Unless expressly stated, Lour - لور does not perform hair, beauty, care, or medical services, employ salon personnel, or guarantee a professional outcome. Each salon is responsible for licensing, listing accuracy, prices, premises, personnel, and fulfilment. The platform remains responsible for the digital services it provides directly as required by law.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must have legal capacity or use the platform with authorization and supervision from a parent or guardian. Provide accurate, current information, protect your password and device, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. One phone number may have only one account. The same identity always has customer access and receives salon permissions through branch-specific memberships. You must not share accounts, impersonate another person, or evade security controls. Phone verification may later be made available or required following clear notice.

4. Salon workspaces and teams

An owner may create multiple salons and invite managers, receptionists, and professionals using branch-specific roles. Owners are responsible for invitations, permissions, and removing access when employment ends. A salon starts as a draft, is submitted for review, and becomes publicly bookable only after approval and subscription eligibility. The platform may reasonably request corrections or evidence concerning identity, licensing, or content safety.

5. Listings, prices, and currencies

Salons must accurately state service descriptions, duration, price, confirmation mode, and cancellation terms. Displayed prices, currencies, taxes, and fees come from approved salon or platform data; mandatory fees must not be hidden and advertising must not be misleading. Currency conversions are estimates based on an operator-managed rate catalog with USD as the master currency. The final amount is the price and currency shown at confirmation or on the invoice. Exchange information is not a financial service or market-rate guarantee.

6. Booking and confirmation

Times are displayed in the salon branch’s local timezone. Selecting a time does not create an appointment until a success screen and booking reference are issued. A slot may be held temporarily while you review it and will be released when the countdown expires. Instant confirmation creates the appointment immediately; manual confirmation remains pending until the salon acts within the displayed period. If another customer takes the slot or a price changes, you must choose an alternative or expressly accept the new price.

7. Cancellation, rescheduling, and no-shows

The salon policy disclosed before confirmation applies subject to mandatory consumer rights. Any cancellation fee or deadline must be disclosed in advance and may not be imposed retroactively. A salon may propose a new time, which takes effect only after customer acceptance. Repeated no-shows or booking abuse may lead to proportionate restrictions after notice and with access to support.

8. Salon subscriptions and billing

Business subscription, chair-license, tax, currency, period, and price data come exclusively from the versioned pricing configuration published by the platform. Invoices identify amount, currency, period, and status. An ineligible subscription may block new bookings without deleting business records. Renewal, reductions, grace periods, and proration follow the terms displayed before the transaction. Full payment-card credentials are not stored unless an approved payment provider is enabled and its role is disclosed.

9. Content, reviews, and media

You retain ownership of content you upload and grant the platform a non-exclusive license only as needed to host, display, process, and operate it. You must hold the necessary rights and must not upload unlawful, misleading, defamatory, privacy-invasive, or infringing material. Reviews must reflect a genuine experience. The platform may hide or remove violating content, record the moderation action, and provide an appropriate support channel for review.

10. Advertising and external services

Clearly identified advertising may be delivered under platform placement, targeting, and frequency rules. Advertisers are responsible for lawful and accurate claims. External links are governed by third-party terms and privacy practices. Deceptive or unsafe destinations may be disabled.

11. Acceptable use and security

You must not attack or probe the service, bypass authorization, scrape data without permission, distribute malware, manipulate booking or measurement systems, commit fraud, harass others, violate privacy, or use the service contrary to Syrian Cybercrime Law No. 20 of 2022 or other applicable legislation. The platform uses rate limits, audit records, and session safeguards. Security concerns should be reported responsibly through support without exploiting them or disclosing user data.

12. Intellectual property

The Lour - لور name, supplied brand artwork, software, interfaces, and databases belong to or are licensed to their respective owners. These Terms do not permit copying marks, reselling the platform, reverse engineering, or creating derivative works except where law expressly permits. Official brand artwork may not be redrawn or altered.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service and request account closure. We may proportionately restrict an account or feature for a material breach, fraud, security risk, legal order, or user-safety necessity and will give notice when circumstances permit. Closure does not erase records that must be retained by law or are needed to settle bookings, invoices, claims, or disputes.

14. Availability and responsibility

We aim to provide a secure, available service, but maintenance, outages, and events beyond reasonable control can occur. We do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, gross fault, or infringement of mandatory consumer rights. To the lawful extent, we are not responsible for a salon’s professional outcome, third-party information, or indirect losses that were not reasonably foreseeable. Users should discuss allergies or health conditions with a suitably qualified professional.

15. Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains the data collected, purposes, sharing, retention, security, and rights and forms part of these Terms. Accepting these Terms is not blanket consent for optional purposes such as marketing; separate choice is requested where appropriate.

16. Complaints and disputes

Submit complaints through the in-app support page and include a booking reference where relevant. The system records acknowledgement, messages, and case status. We seek an amicable solution first without restricting any right to approach a competent administrative or judicial authority. Syrian law governs, and competent Syrian courts have jurisdiction subject to mandatory jurisdiction rules.

17. Changes and language

We may update these Terms for legal or operational reasons. The version and effective date will be published, and material changes may require renewed acceptance. Arabic and English versions are provided. For interpretation in Syria, Arabic prevails to the extent permitted by law without removing rights created by a clear disclosure relied on in another language.

18. Contact

Legal communications and support requests can be sent through the Support page in the application and web interface. Never include passwords, full payment credentials, or unnecessary health information in a support message.
